Member Information

The Troy Community Chorus offers adults the opportunity to sing with a group and perform for the public. Members come from Troy and surrounding communities. Singing in the chorus not only allows people to make use of their musical talent, but also provides a social experience with others who enjoy music.

Rehearsals during each singing season are on Tuesdays from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in the Chorus Room (Rm. 1620) at Troy Athens High School located at 4333 John R. Rd., Troy, MI 48085.

Interested in Joining the Chorus?

If you love to sing and want to join a large chorus, we are looking for you. There are no auditions for the general performances, you don’t have to live in Troy, and even if you can’t read music but can carry a tune, we have a place for you.

Individuals wishing to participate as part of an ensemble or as a soloist are invited to audition.

When are the Membership Drives?

Membership drives are conducted the first two weeks of each season. The fall season runs from September through December. The spring season is from January through May.

REGISTRATION FOR THE UPCOMING SPRING 2012 CONCERT SEASON

Member registration drive:   Tuesday, January 10 and 17, 2012
Time:      6:30 to 7:30 p.m. (chorus rehearsal is 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.)
Where:   Athens High School Chorus Room, Room 1620.
If you’d like to join the chorus, or just stop in to hear us rehearse before you decide, please feel free to do so on these dates only.  All interested adults who are new and returning members will need to register during that time.

Membership Cost

The cost to join is $30 per person or $50 per couple for a single concert season. Cash, checks and money orders are accepted (no credit cards, please). The registration cost helps defray the cost of the music for the chorus.
